About

Hello - thanks for stopping by.

I curate furniture, art and decorative objects that would generally fall into the category of antique, vintage or salvage. I make these objects available to interior designers and individuals at reasonable prices so that they can create amazing and sustainable interiors.

I tend to collect characterful items with an eye to them ending up in modern interiors, be that home retail or office.

Thankfully, the sustainability movement is now beginning to take hold in the interiors world with individuals and designers alike realising that we cannot continue to fill our homes and spaces with “disposable” things. That does not mean we have to live forever with a dated interior landscape (or our mistakes!) but it does mean we may need to get more creative and look a little harder for a pre-existing item that does the job we want. I am happy to play a small part in that regard.

I am constantly adding to our collection of beautiful, pleasing, quirky, unusual, iconic and surprising objects. My mother (85) frequently expresses her horror at the latest "rubbish" I've bought but when this happens, I know I'm on the right lines!

If we are on the same wavelength, I am sure you will find something you like here. If you don't, but you have an idea what you want, please don't hesitate to ask and I will try and find it for you. If you hate what you see here, well then, I'll put you in touch with my mother!

I'm not a traditional antique dealer, salvage expert, restorer, interior designer or eco-warrior.  Just a guy with a love of design and beauty and a desire to do a little bit of good for the planet.  My preference is for conservation and I’m not a big fan of over-restoring things. If an object has lived a life, I like to see the signs of that.

Naturally, you will find furniture, mirrors and artworks here but you could just as easily find jewellery, a birdbath or a Persian runner. If I see something and it resonates with me, I'll buy it. It doesn't really matter what it is or what age it is.

If you can help spread the word by liking, following and sharing with your friends, that would be great. It would really help to get some traction with this new site and shop.

Enjoy the rummage.

Mike
