Hand Carved Balinese Tribal Woman

A large, beautifully hand carved, bust of a Balinese woman.  It features a fabulous pierced headdress or halo.  

Most likely dating from the mid 20th century and made of a heavy hardwood, possibly teak, she stands 39 cm high by 33 cm wide at the base.  There is an unobtrusive small repair to the halo which you can just about make out in the rear view photo.

I am always amazed that such artistry and craftsmanship is available to us for relatively small money.
